Do you Sell to My Country? - For a FULL ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION!! *** Please be Aware Customers ***
NB: The ‘Q’ below stands for “Question” and the ‘A’ below stands for “Answer”.
Q1. Who first 'Discovered' Kopi Luwak?
A1. In the 17th century the Dutch introduced coffee to Indonesia. Luwak’s were already there but were, obviously, eating other things. Once the coffee plantations (the plants and coffee cherries in particular) took off in Indonesia, The Philippines and South East Asian Countries very soon the Luwak’s discovered feasting on the coffee cherries and beans. They enjoyed it and it became a regular part of their diet. Indonesian and Philippine plantation workers who didn't have access to the valuable coffee beans harvested for the Dutch, tried "Luwak [Indonesian Palm Civet] Fece 'Waste' Coffee Beans" and un-knowingly discovered Kopi Luwak.
Q2. What is a Luwak?
A2. A "Luwak" in Balinese/Indonesian (the language of the origin of the word Luwak) means "Cat" [truly meaning "Civet"] (in particular the "Indonesian Palm Civet") also known as Lubak and Musang as other names for the “Asian (Indonesian) Palm Civet”, (Paradoxus hermaphroditus) - an animal common to many South East Asian Countries, that looks a lot like a cross between a “Brushy-Tail Possum, a mongoose and a domestic cat.
Q3. What is Kopi Luwak?
A3.Kopi (Balinese/Indonesian for “Coffee”) and Luwak (Balinese/Indonesian for “Cat” meaning a “Indonesian Palm Civet”) means “Coffee Cat” referring to - Indonesian Palm Civet produced coffee - from the Palm Civets feces! Kopi Luwak is coffee cherries that have passed through the digestive tract of an ‘Indonesian Palm Civet’, who break down/digest the outer layers or skins of the coffee cherries, leaving basically just the coffee BEANS excreted in their feces – whole. The beans are then gathered and washed by human workers, dried, roasted and packaged as Kopi Luwak – the most expensive and highest quality coffee in the world.
Q4. Does DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs use wholesalers that farm their civets for the Kopi Luwak they produce or excrete?
A4.DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs does not and never will (knowingly) use farmed Civets for our Kopi Luwak and we refuse to buy from sources that do. All DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs Kopi Luwak is collected and made from wild Civets roaming, playing, climbing, running, procreating and frolicking with each other, anywhere they like, on the big coffee plantations and farms and then excreting their feces all over the plantation/farm forest floors and the surrounding jungles of the Indonesian and Philippine high-lands. The feces is then collected from all over the plantations/farms and surrounding jungles, as ‘Wild Civet’s Feces’ - that produces a far better HIGHER QUALITY brew/blend of Kopi Luwak, due to coming from WILD CIVETS - that obviously have a well balanced, mixed up dietary intake of food(s) - which then produces a MUCH HIGHER quality of Kopi Luwak Product - compared to farmed/caged Civets, anyway. So therefore, why be in-humane farming/caging the Civets for an ‘all round’ worse or in-superior quality product - when we can use the wild Civets and sell/consume the BEST QUALITY KOPI LUWAK that you can possibly obtain anywhere in the WORLD!!??!... DAF's Coffee Connoisseurs believe it should be illegal to cage farm Civets for Kopi Luwak and it should NOT BE CONDONED!! WE ALSO BELIEVE ANY FARMERS THAT undertake this type of Kopi Luwak Production (Caging/Farming Civets) - should be PROSECUTED, SUED AND HAVE THEIR PRODUCTION LICENCES/FARMS CLOSED DOWN!!
Q5. Do Luwak’s only eat coffee beans?
A5. Luwak's LOVEVERY RIPE, JUICEY, FRESH in season coffee cherries, when they’re juiciest, sweetest and ripest, but they really are omnivorous and will eat whatever is available including fruit, chicken, small Mammals, animal eggs and insects however a lot of, if not MOST (at some times of the year) of the civet’s diet IS mainly ripe, juicy, fresh coffee cherries.
Q6. Does DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs sell - REAL INDONESIAN & PHILIPPINE HIGH-LAND KOPI LUWAK COFFEE?
A6.DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs Kopi Luwak is DEFINITELY the 100% GUARANTEED, 100% AUTHENTIC, 100% ORIGINAL, 100% ORGANIC AND 100% GENUINE, REAL, INDONESIAN AND PHILIPPINE, HIGH-LAND KOPI LUWAK – made by the worlds BEST Civet coffee producer – the ‘Indonesian Palm Civet’.DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs wholesaler(s), collect, wash, dry, roast and sell all of their Kopi Luwak from the Indonesian highlands (Toraja Highland) in the Indonesian Archipelago, mainly in ‘Medan – North Sumatera’ and ‘Lampung – South Sumatera’, but also from areas like Jakarta, Bali and the rest of Sumatera. The Philippine Kopi Luwak comes from the Mount Matutum highlands (on the Island of Mindanao), some of the VERY BEST fertile coffee growing soil in the Philippines and on these plantations and coffee farms DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs wholesalers make/collect all Kopi Luwak beans from FAMILY/RELATIVE OWNED WILD coffee plantations, farms and jungles that the Civets roam free amongst.
Q7. Is there any import tax applied on DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs coffee product(s)/Pouches?
A7. As the customer purchasing off DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs Web-Store, you will need to pay the NORMAL shipping/postage/freight and handling fee - listed on the purchasing (shopping cart and checkout) pages on our Web-Store under either “Normal Post”, “Express Post” or “Air Freight” - they differ in price, ONLY SLIGHTLY depending on which method you wish to use, BUT you DON’T need to pay ANY import tax to us (DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs) or to AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMS/GOVERNMENT. As for INTERNATIONAL country’s import tax policies, (your own country’s customs/banks), MAY charge you MORE TAX/CLEARING FEE’S – I’m not sure?...
Q8. Will you accept phone orders?
A8.DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs currently DON’T accept phone orders, we much prefer an email sent through to us with all of the order/purchase details and information – product number and quantity of products - and customer personal details and information discussed under Page/Tab Number 6: "Web-Store" - off/in the DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs Web-Store "Navigation Toolbar" at the top of your current computer screen; then click Number 1: Web-Store: "Information & Detail Explanation" - Page: [Roman Numeral i.]! We will then either call you within 3 working days or send a reply email, to update the details of the order and transaction with you, the customer.
Q9. Can DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs ship/post out a rush or even an overnight order?
A9.Sort of! – We TRY – we DON’T want to say YES, BUT we can always try for you?!?... We can try to send an overnight postage/order, out to you, as long as we have the item/product in stock and you (the customer) can have the transaction FINANCIALLY CLEARED and PAYED for before the pick up time of Australia Post from the Post Office, to catch the right delivery time!?!... If you can order and complete the transaction purchase with DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs by 7:00am EST at LEAST the day BEFORE you want the package/order to arrive at your chosen destination/address, then we could possibly make it happen!...
N.B: Quite often it is too difficult to make an overnight delivery – so we DON’T PROMISE an overnight delivery to EVERY customer wanting the overnight delivery, as it is very difficult to post the parcel quick enough, BUT we CAN TRY to attempt overnight deliveries as much as possible! This option (overnight delivery) is ONLY available to Australia’s major cities and towns, Australian Rural Towns/Cities and International packages/orders can’t be delivered overnight, they need at LEAST 3 to 5 days, minimum. You (the customer) are better off allowing a couple of days EXTRA, at least, before you need the Kopi Luwak and give yourself plenty of time to receive the parcels/packages!
N.B: For international customers the quickest delivery for you is the “Air Freight – Post Delivery”!
N.B: Customers; if you plan on purchasing products from us, it’s best to TRY and leave enough time BEFORE you NEED the Kopi Luwak coffee/product for your consumption/use and allow the shipping/postage/freight and handling to arrive with plenty of spare time – taking the stress out of the purchase/transaction between you and DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs, also then allowing you to be as happy as you could possibly be with the Kopi Luwak purchase/product from/off DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs.
Q10. Can DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs sell Kopi Luwak coffee grounds instead of coffee beans?
A10. NO! We DON’T! Because for ALL coffee beans (not just Kopi Luwak beans – but also normal coffee beans, too) it is highly recommended to grind only enough coffee beans for the current brew you want to make and leave the rest of the pouch as whole beans – this is because the freshness in general, taste and aroma characteristics/freshness and quality of the left over unused beans will last MUCH, MUCH longer and remain FAR BETTER, HIGHER AND FRESHER QUALITY if left whole and ground only when needed. It is worth spending between $10.00 AU and $20.00 AU for a standard household coffee grinder – and grind only the amount of Kopi Luwak needed for the current brew – then store the remaining Kopi Luwak beans, whole in the ORIGINAL Air Sealed Pouch, that the Kopi Luwak beans come in when purchased off DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs – making sure that you squeeze all of the excess air out of the pouch before storing in an air-tight container, canister or Jar (E.g. A Tupperware/Glass Container) and place in a DRY, NON-HUMID, COOL and NON-ODOROUS PLACE or SHELF at NO HOTTER than 11 to 16 Degrees Celsius, IF POSSIBLE!! DO NOT STORE IN FRIDGE OR FREEZER!! Then repeat process for each individual brew. Therefore, for these reasons, we ONLY SELL whole Roasted Kopi Luwak beans.
Q11. What is DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs money back guarantee policy?
A11. For DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs refund/money back policy, please look under the: Tab 5 - Privacy, Refund, Shipping & FAQ's - above in the Web-Store Navigation Bar - at the Top of this site-page - then click on/goto: “Number 2: a) Refund and b) Payment Guarantee Policies” and under the sub-heading of “a) Refund Guarantee Policy” you will find the answer to this question!
Q12. Does DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs sell green/un-roasted Kopi Luwak beans?
A12. NO! We don’t sell green Kopi Luwak coffee beans - BECAUSE; in Australia it is ILLEGAL to import un-roasted or green Kopi Luwak beans in sizes greater than 50 grams.
Q13. What payment methods does DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs currently accept?
A13.DAF’s Coffee Connoisseurs currently accept payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and DebitCard), PayPal, Bank Transfer and Cash.
Q14. – Do you send FREE sample pouches of Kopi Luwak to try before purchasing larger quantities?!
A14. Kopi Luwak is, at best, extremely RARE and too limited in quantity to be able to send out free samples to every regular customer wanting to “Try Before They Buy”, you must, with us, purchase a pouch of which ever size to be able to try the Kopi Luwak.
Q15. Do you ship to my country?
A15. UNFORTUNATELY, WE DO NOT SHIP OR SELL/EXPORT OUR PRODUCTS TO NORTH AMERICA OR CANADA!! This is due to the HUGELY HIGHER EXCESS costs/rates for our "Insurance Policy", under the "Third Party Liability Claim"!! The fact is; the excess for a Third Party Liability Claim from North America and Canada is TWENTY (20) times (x's) the cost than ANYWHERE ELSE in the WORLD!! At present we just can NOT AFFORD THIS COST if the claim ever happened!! BUT AS SOON AS DAF's Coffee Connoisseurs CAN AFFORD THIS EXCESS COST we will IMMEDIATELY BEGIN trading with North America and Canada!!
THE COUNTRIES WE CAN NOT EXPORT/SHIP TO ARE: The United States of America, Canada, Bermuda, Greenland, Mexico!!
We do apologize and as soon as we are able to afford the risk of shipping/exporting to these countries... - WE WILL!! Thank You!!
